ARRIVAL: airport transportation tips

-when you exit the airport you can take a taxi, or also Uber! (DiDi is another app you can use this is mexicos version of “UBER/LYFT”)

-your Uber is NOT allowed to pick up directly outside the airport To catch your Uber / DiDi, immediately go left when you exit the airport. There will be a pedestrian bridge over the road. Take the bridge to the other side. Here you can wait for your driver!

(we paid about $9-11US for the Uber to take us from the airport to our airport in Centro)

Bar Morelos- in Centro
@TheCancerianTraveler
Loved this spot! A smaller more intimate club! It’s probably great when it’s hotter weather because it’s indoor so they likely have more AC!

Day 2: Sayulita Day Trip

Sayulita Transportation:

-you can take a taxi, an Uber, or the local bus (it’s about 45-55 minutes from puerto vallarta)

-a taxi/ Uber will likely cost you anywhere from $30-75US. (Depending on the time of day)

-I recommend going earlier in the morning (8-10am) traffic after 12/1pm can make the trip much longer (1.5hours) and more expensive.

-PRO TIP: if you plan to stay later than 10pm to enjoy the night life- it might make more sense to just get a hotel room there! The taxis don’t always run late back to Puerto Vallarta (and if they do it will be more expensive). I recommend leaving by 7pm or just stay the night and leave in the morning.

Sayulita- Day Trip
@TheCancerianTraveler
An awesome beach town that’s the perfect day trip! It’s a beautiful little beach town with a lively night scene & house music everywhere! THINGS TO CONSIDER: -sayulita has notoriously had recent issues with their sewage which has led to problems with nuerovirus! Ask locals about the ocean water before getting in, and try to only get drinks that are pre-bottled or in containers.
