W. Village ↔️ Hudson Yards Walking Guide.
One of my favorite spaces in the city, I can easily spend an entire day between the West Village and Hudson Yards.
1) Beginning in the Village for a pot of tea at Paquita on W 10th Street. Taking a peek at what treasures can be found at Housing Works Thrift Shop across the street, or Big Night a few shops over. Or I may start at Buvette for the perfect cappuccino and scones. Hmmm?
2) Continuing East on W 10th to the Hudson River, walk the Empire State Trail North to Little Island, a newer member to the NYC park scene.
3) Next, turn back inland, down W 15th Street to Chelsea Market. You could spend some time here. A plethora of shops, and restaurants to choose from. You'd find me in the bookstore, roaming Artists & Fleas, stopping for a Chocolate Fudge Milkshake at Creamline, or shrimp tacos and a Mexican Coke at Los Mariscos. From here, hop on the High Line (Entrance at W 16th and 10th Ave), old train tracks which have been converted into a beautiful walkway that changes with the season. Stroll all the way to Hudson Yards where you are greeted by the Vessel and Mercado Little Spain. Explore this area a bit, maybe grab a bite to eat.
5) If you still have room for more, continue walking south to Barrow Street. Head to Commerce Inn. I hope you love it as much as I do.
Regardless of what you choose, end your day at Arthur's Tavern for some jazz. You're Welcome!
