Bakeries in Paris

salut :) I’m amélie and I organize tours in paris since 2019 - @paris.districts I love sharing my city and helping you step off the beaten path. 🥖 Paris is a paradise for bread lovers. The city boasts around 1,200 bakeries. The average bread consumption in France is about 57 kg per year per person. This can vary depending on eating habits, but bread remains a staple food in the French diet And if you ask a French person living abroad what they miss most about France, they’ll probably answer: the bread and the cheese :) I’m sharing here my favorite bakeries, which I visit regularly. I want to emphasize that this list is personal and not exhaustive, I will update it as I make new discoveries ( if you want to share your experience you can write me here 💌 hello@parisdistricts.com ) 🤍 Merci for your support

Du Pain et des Idées
@ameliefromparis
🥖 It's definitely my favorite bread in Paris. "Le pain des amis" has a quite unique smoky flavor that you won't find anywhere else. No wonder there's often a line in front of the shop—be patient, it's worth it ! ❤️ Le pain des amis ❤️ La niflette ( orange blossom small pies)

Mamiche

🥖 when I'm regularly asked what my favorite bakery in Paris is, I say: Mamiche ! I love everything about them, from the bread to the pastries to the sandwiches. They have two locations in the 10th and 9th arrondissements. ℹ️ The creators of Mamiche, Cecile and Victoria were among the first in Paris in 2016 to modernize traditional bakeries ❤️ Choux à la crème (cream puff) ❤️ Chocolate cookie with fleur de sel ❤️ Pain au chocolat ♥️ Rillettes de maquereaux - sandwich

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
paris.districts
Bonjour, I'm Amélie from Paris :) I arrived in Paris in 2011 after getting a tourism degree. Originally from the Alps, in Eastern France, I grew up in a small town in the countryside. I immediately liked the anonymity I found in a big city, the diversity of the population and every neighborhood’s singularity. Daughter of a chef, granddaughter of farmers, very early on I enjoyed French gastronomy and everything it has to offer. In 2017, I started a blog referencing my favorite parisian addresses. Then in 2019, I wanted to go further and start working as a tourist guide allowing visitors to discover Paris. In 2021, paris.districts is born, with the willingness to bring to light my favorite places and the identity of different parisian neighborhoods to visitors.
