Shelter Cove
Shelter Cove
Ray
Shelter cove is a quaint little town on the California coast. The drive to it from 101 is extremely curvy and off the beaten path. This makes it a quiet place with great little ocean front hotels and some awesome outdoor activities. Bring a cooler with some food with you! This town has a general store and a couple dinners. None of the dining facilities were open while we were there.

This ocean front hotel is clean and has incredibly kind staff. The rooms have old interior furnishings but are clean.

Little Black Sands Beach
@ventureray
Little Black Sands beach has a cute overlook which is great for photo opportunities. I think a lot of people skip this beach because it’s so similar to Black Sands Beach. Exploring the beach alone was an intimate experience. -Hiking boots recommended

Point Delgada
@ventureray
We spent hours watching pelicans catch fish, sea lions play, and crabs fight in the tide pools. There’s a restored light house right by the parking lot to look at. The walk down to the tide pools is very steep be careful and wear good shoes.
