Top Affordable Omakase
Sistersnacking
There’s a new wave of sub $100 omakases popping up all over the city. We’re here to help you navigate which ones are worth trying and which ones you can skip. ALSO many are BYOB which were 100% here for.
Most of these start ~$60-$90 dollars and are anywhere from 12-16 courses. While there are amazing fancy michelin star omakases in the city, these are all great choices and will satisfy your omakase craving!

matsunori
@sistersnacking
Oh how we love Matsunori. We started our relationship with Chef Derek during the pandemic when he was offering “homeakase” which we did a few times with him. Soon enough he was able to open his own spot.
$68 for 1 app, 12 nigiri, 1 hand roll and BYOB 🥂

Shiki Omakase
@sistersnacking
$$$ | They offer a $65 or a $100 omakase.
If you work with them far enough in advance, you can book out a large portion of their counter seats. We once went at 5pm and had all 14 seats.
We know omakase isn't always for everyone, but this could be really fun and it's BYOB!

Sushi Katsuei
@sistersnacking
$$ | Omakase starts at $65
First option is the most afforable and includes 9 pieces and a hand roll. This is definitely a little less food than other sushi spots but ther quality of fish is good.
This is one of the first affordable omakase joints and it’s still serving great sushi, simple fishes and nothing crazy

Ume
@sistersnacking
$$ | omakase for $83 and set for $65
Ume is so unique. You enter this unassuming door that you wouldn’t expect to be a sushi restaurant then you’re asked to wash your hands and remove your shoes. Once you walk back to their light filled back room with low tables you’re in for a treat. The signature sushi set is almost like a DIY handroll meal. You get to curate each bite with fish, toppings, and rice.
You’ll love this one😍
