If you did any research on great food/drink experiences in Budapest, The MAGIC definitely came up among them - and itās for a reason. This Harry Potter inspired place offers a variety of drinks and food with the most unique names. Iād not skip their drinks and magic show that comes with them! I got to try bubble pancakes and they were amazing!
The prices are completely reasonable, and Iād say you can easily eat something withing 20ā¬!
When it comes to availability, I would recommend booking few days in advance if you want to have a good time slot and not wait in line. However, if you just stumbled upon this post and you want to go the next day, thereās an option to wait, and if thereās a table available, they tend to give you one, but definitely come during some less popular parts of the day! :)
Immersive experiences
Star Wars
Every Star Wars fanās dream is to experience all the props and see them in real life. Traveling Galaxy has some of the best pieces I have ever seen and it was so interesting to explore them and see them all.
On top of the great collection, you get a chance to be a part of an immersive experience, solving a mystery set upon you as you were a part of the Star Wars universe!
I didnāt need a previous booking, however, be sure to come no later than 18:30, since the whole experience lasts at least around 30 minutes! Be sure to bring a student card with you if you have one, as they count a special discount in that case!
Formula 1
Just a short drive from Budapest is the famous Hungarian GP track in Mogyrod! Whether you are coming for a F1 race or not, itās a great place to visit, as it has been a track for nearly 30+ years in Formula 1!
During the year, it also offers karting experience that can be booked online. I wouldnāt miss that as an F1 fan myself!
Regular spots used for filming
Blade runner 2049
Along with the Budapest Stock Exchange building, the surrounding area was also used for filming in this popular movie. Donāt miss on visiting Soviet War memorial too, which is just a short walk away from the Parliament!
The Martian
Another popular movie destination is the amazing Central Market Hall! Besideās itās movie popularity, it offers amazing food, magnets, national gems and so many other things! Iād recommend going there as it is super affordable and all the people working there are extremely nice!
