My Mexico City
Nathaniel Drew
This is my slow traveler's guide to the sprawling capital of Mexico. It is a reflection of my time spent there and how to explore this beautiful city in the way I did. That said, it's by no means a comprehensive guide so it's a great companion piece to other info - or to use as a jumping off point for your own discovery.
These are my tips - both for how to experience the city - and where to do so, taken from the nearly 9 months that I've spent living here over 2 separate stays.
In addition to sharing places I loved, I also go deeper into my slow travel philosophy and show you how to experience - and love - the city the way I have.
Guide includes:
- Specific locations from my videos
- Recommended trips to take outside the city
- Over 35 specific places I personally visited

My Travel Philosophy
I've done a lot of travel. And sometimes...it wasn't actually very pleasant; it was overwhelming. I'd have three days and have to do it ALL.
So I stopped and reflected. And that led me to the idea of slow travel: I don't even bother trying to do it all!
I just soak up the culture and the experience of being in the place. I wander it like I would if I lived there, and it ends up being a way more positive experience.
