Free things to do in summer in Copenhagen

The concept is simple: film and sky together. Each summer the Cinemateket (cinematheque) organised films screening around the city. Could be in the King's Park or the Botanical Garden. Just let yourself fall in summer love (once again) to a great film.

Can you imagine a bunch of people dancing around? Yes, that is all about it. From mid-June until mid July in this park Go to the corner of Edel Sauntes Allé and Øster Allé.

Cross the bridge, it's worthy. Besides the food trucks that are open all week theres a lot of fun things to do for free. Summer partys with international DJs, live concerts and events like Sankt Hans celebration. Ping pong, petanque, skate park, board games. Head to Beer Garden to borrow equipment. Don't worry if it rain, the bar Werkstatts is there to save the day.

Hygge is more than a word. It's a concept that danish want to live 365 days. In this 3 days they will try the best to share with you this moto. 138 events to choose about design between parties, events and talks. It's a fun way to know secret spot in the city and interesting people.

Stay tuned for the city, it will have flyers everywhere with this hype event. The festival has all format: free, pay, outdoor, indoor, local musicians, international musicians, etc etc. Pick up what you feel up to and amuse your soul with live music.

A group of DJs looking for promoting the bass music and culture created this event under the big heavy concrete bridge at Frederiksberg. Thousands of people show up to every year to celebrate the annual bass day along sounds of Reggae, Dub, Garage, Dubstep, Drum & and everything in between. All Danish artists, all for free. I went alone and meet a danish friendly group that made me part of them. Is there a better way to meet locals? I doubt it. (Note aside: I looked up for this event to tag it and only appear the version in Aarhus, but I can confirm that ocurres by July in Copenhagen. Trust me.)
