Joshua Tree (but make it dog-friendly 🐶)

Hannah Hertog
This guide was a special request, and very dear to my heart as a fellow dog mom. We loved our time in Joshua Tree with our dog, Milo. I hope you can enjoy it as well with your four-legged family member!

Always make sure the weather is appropriate for your dog before taking them on long hikes, and always remember to pack water!

We've brought our dog here, and it was incredible. There is a large, fully fenced yard where he was able to run around. The place itself was perfect for our small family.

What to do with your pet during your desert hikes?

The truth is, your pup may not be able to enjoy all the hikes you want to go on. There are certain safety concerns when bringing your dog to the desert and the ecosystem can be negatively impacted by having them there. As you enter the park, there is a wonderful doggy-daycare. We brought our Milo there, and he had a blast.

This was one of our favorites, the hike itself isn't too hard although there is a lot of up-hill climbs. It was so cool to see the old mine.
