Day 1 | Sunrise View
Cadillac Summit Road

In November, you can avoid the challenges securing a reservation to drive up Cadillac Mountain. We were able to enjoy this crisp sunrise with a much smaller crowd and warm blanket.

Day 1 | Hiking TrailsÂ
We decided for our first day to start easy with the Jordan Pond Trail. We turned off the loop and headed past Deer Brook Bridge and Straight up to Penobscot Mountain - not planned. It was a challenge after a commuting through the night. It was worth it! Incredible views and the perfect stop for breakfast. You can take the Jordan Cliffs trail back down for a different view and jump back onto the Jordan Pond Loop for a nice finish. Bring layers! The summit was very chilly in November!

Just as stunning as the pictures you've seen. Jordan Pond is the starting point to many great trails. Pick one and choose an adventure. We chose the Deer Brook Trail and headed straight up to Penobscot Summit. We came back to Jordan Pond at night to do some stargazing, hoping to catch the Northern Lights. The view of the stars was probably the best I've ever seen.

Penobscot Mountain

Just off of the Jordan Pond trail. A quick steep incline led to a stunning 360 degree view of Acadia. It is not to be missed.

Found somewhere between Jordan Pond and Penobscot summit, this view was truly a treat in the middle of the forest.
