Milan is the second largest city in Italy. It is known for its famous Duomo Cathedral. Milan is famous for its arts, history and amazing architecture. I would highly recommend Milan for a day trip, or two night stay. This free itinerary is here to prepare you for your trip to Milan and to showcase you the layout of other itineraries on this page. Hotel/Airbnb Recommendations

1. HD8 Milano - This is a 4* accommodation situated in Milan, it is located 100m from Centrale Metro Station, making it easily accessible to get around Milan by train. The hotel is super affordable and you can purchase entry to a buffet breakfast daily.

2. Studio - This is a studio located in Milan, able to host two guests. Located just 200m from Centrale Metro Station, which allows you to get to the Duomo by metro in under 10 minutes. There is a supermarket just 50m away in which you can purchases groceries to make your stay at the studio more homely.

3. Raddison Blu Hotel Milan - a well known universal hotel is located in a quiet area. It is decorated with earth tones and contemporary furnishing. Although this is not in Central Milano, it is located just 100m away from a tram stop which gets you into the centre in a matter of minutes. This hotel has a gym, sauna and swimming pool.

QC TERME MILANO SPA

This spa offers thermal baths, 28 wellness practices, treatments and a cafe. This spa is the main highlight of Milan, and I would not be doing you justice if I did not recommend you visiting this spa. It is super affordable and prices range from €46. You are able to stay at this spa for up to 5 hours, which gives you plenty of time to roam around and take a peaceful nap in their beautiful baskets. There is also cinema thunder rooms that are breathtaking. If you feel to upgrade and get a treatment you can pay for this on the day.

Be sure to book online before you go as it can get busy! It is located in Central Milan. Robes and slippers are included in the price, alongside some snacks and beverages. On your way out, be sure to grab your complimentary goodies!

Brunch Recommendations

1. EL&N Cafe - known as being the most instagrammable cafe in the world. EL&N stands for Eat Live and Nourish. Absolutely loved having breakfast here, and would highly recommend. I ordered a Biscoff Hot Chocolate which was the best hot chocolate I have ever had in my entire life! I ordered some fried eggs alongside some French toast and was left extremely satisfied. I highly recommend this cafe for breakfast or brunch.

2. Lubar Milano - this is a spot that I managed to come across on TikTok but did not have a chance to try! I have heard that it is a great place for breakfast and brunch, let me know what you think?

Great Pizza - Spontini

Spontini is a pizza restaurant located in various spots around Milan. Spontini have a total of 21 stores in Italy. It gives very casual vibes, but their pizza is perfect. They make each pizza fresh and the dough is immaculate. Huge pizza slice ranges from 5-10 euros.

Restaurant Recommendations

1. La Gioia - is an authentic Italian restaurant. If you are looking for some tasty pasta and a good glass of wine, then this is the place for you! All their pasta is homemade. The rough price estimate for a starter and main in this restaurant is £50. 

2. JustMe Milano - also known as Just Cavalli restaurant. This restaurant will require a reservation, especially on the weekends, as it tends to get very busy. They offer a wide range of cuisines from Italian to Mediterranean, the place is absolutely stunning, it has an amazing pathway and the restaurant is designed fantastically, with an outdoor terrace. Every night from 23:30, the lights go down and the music volume rises as it turns into a night club. If you're a fan of sushi or lobster spaghetti, then give it a try, you cannot go wrong. Rough price range for a starter and main is £65.

Things To Do

1. Acquaworld Experience - Take a trip to this fun water park, jam packed with 22 water slides, a white beach and various pools. There is pure enjoyment to be had for all age ranges. There are also refreshment points to quench your thirst. This water park operates rain or shine. Perfect experience for friends and family. Adult ticket prices are £19 and you can stay as long as you want. 

2. Italian cooking class - Have the opportunity to learn and cook with an Italian Chef. You will make 3 Italian dishes and all the ingredients, tools and beverages is provided. You get the opportunity to make pastas such as tagliatelle or ravioli. As you are learning your new skills and recipie, you will be able to nibble on snacks such as cheese, olives or even something sweet like cookies. Once your meals are ready, you will get the opportunity to sit down and enjoy your meal with a glass of wine. You will be able to take home the recipes to recreate. The cooking class costs £56.
