HANDS DOWN One of the best HALAL korean food to eat or to start your trip!

However, hunting for this place required some cardio. Yup, going up the steep slope. But it is so worth it when you finally sit down and enjoy that hot goodness in front of you.

TRY- Samgyetang! (Chicken Ginseng Soup)

- Jjimdak (Braised chicken)

- Beef Bulgogi!

Tip: Go when it opens early cause the space is small and the queue can get quite long when you're there in the winter (Oct - Jan) and you definitely don't want to wait outside in the cold.

You see tv series eating one of those meat wrapped in vegetable and stuff in their mouth? Yup, this is one of those places. They have one of the best BBQ meat (lamb). They serve halal lamb from Australia and they are damn good lamb.

The place itself can be quite hidden if you use google map, I recommend using Kakao Map/Naver Map as they are suited for korean streets and it is easy to navigate it. The roads that you follow might be home to some but trust the process. It's there!

TRY:

- ALL of their grill meat! Especially the marinated lamb!

- LAMB SOUP! (MUST) It's so hearty and good, you really taste the lamb in the soup and it's spices!

Shopping in Myeongdong and hungry? Don't worry, there's plenty of halal korean food there in Myeongdong itself. But for me, i would definitely recommend this restaurant over here. Not only do they serve halal KOREAN food but i'm sure if you're like my brother in law, you'll crave proper malay food and this is one of the places you can get it. Serving Malaysian food like nasi lemak, nasi goreng and etc. BUT, you have to try their chicken! Soo delicious like one of those you see on TV when they order the chicken.

TRY:- Korean Fried Chicken

- Sweet Crispy Chicken

- Bibimbap

- Nasi Lemak (Not sure if they have it anymore)

- Nasi Goreng (any)

Tip: After all that shopping heading up here might be a little tiring. Have your lunch here first and for dinner - Street Food! You won't go hungry, trust me.

The Halal Guys Itaewon

If you know, you know. Easiest and the fastest food to get to. Located in Itaewon itself where it is catered to foreigners. The halal guys is in my TOP 5 halal food to try cause the original food itself is from New York. Now unless you are heading there, try from the food truck itself. But since you're in SEOUL, try it here.

Again, the space is quiet small if you're a couple sure you'll find seats. But if you're in groups of more than 5, recce the place. It may or may not be full. But you still have to try it whether to go or dine in. The platter itself might be big, you can share with another person unless you're hungry. (No Judgement!)

TRY:

- Combo Platter

- Secret Fries

FIVE (5)

Manis Kitchen

Now this may not be a restaurant itself but they serve really good snacks. Now, the tteokbokki you find on the street may not be halal or vegetarian as some might know cause most of them contains soondae (blood sausage made of pork blood and noodles). But here, all the snacks you see are halal.

TRY:

- Tteokbokki

- Corndogs

- Kimbap

- Eomuk (Fishcake)

Tip: You can ask for to go and save it for breakfast the next day if you're too bloated from the food that you've eaten.

Happy Eating! :)
