When my friends and I decided to hike Mount Pulag, we made the wise choice of hiring a tour agency to handle the organization, ensuring a hassle-free experience. The tour package offered by the agency included the following:

Transportation: RT van transfers to and from Mt. Pulag                                Side trip to Jang Jang Bridge

Accommodations: 1 night homestay arrangements made comfortable stay during the trip

Meals : Dinner and breakfast included

Trek Guide & Registration

How long is the hike?

We started hiking at 2am and arrived at Camp 2 at around 5:30am. We stayed there for a couple of minutes while waiting for the sunrise at Tower Peak. This is around 6 hours of hiking to and from the Ranger Station.

What to expect from the hike

Ambangeg Trail is fairly easy. It's good for beginners, some of us are even first time hikers. Please make sure to wear warm clothes because it gets very cold in this area especially at the peak where there are no trees. Best months to go is from December to May. (January - early March the coldest)

What to bring

- Dry fit shirt

- Fleece Jacket

- Waterproof Jacket

- Headlamp

- Hiking shoes ( please make sure to break in if it's new)

- Emergency Blanket

- Gloves

- Water

- Snacks ( it’s more than 6 hours of trek so you need the energy)

- Medications and First aid kit

- Thick socks

- Warmers ( if you get cold easily)

Jang Jang Hanging Bridge (closed)

If you're looking for a challenging but rewarding hike, I highly recommend the Ambangeg Trail.

Safe Travels! Ingat!
