Where to Stay
Hip Hostel Patong
@TheTravelTaurus
I stayed here after my original booking turned out to be closed. I had a private room here for $17/night. It was really nice. It's in a really good location, you can pretty much walk anywhere to massages, restaurants, clothes shopping. It's not that far from the beach either.
It was really clean, well decorated, modern looking, and really cute. The room came with a cute balcony. It was nice. This hostel definitely has a quieter, chill vibe and not a party vibe.

Bodega Phuket Party Hostel & Bar
@TheTravelTaurus
This place was the original hostel we booked. When we turned up, it was closed (due to covid, the owner said they were going to reopen soon). It was really nice though, so you could check it out. We were just in the lobby, and it was really nice. It had a really nice bar and looked really clean. I wish we could have stayed here. It had really good reviews on Hostelworld, and it's the party hostel to stay at in the area. So if you're looking for more of that vibe, this could be a good option.

Cassia Phuket
@TheTravelTaurus
This place is really nice. I did a hotel collab with this place, and I loved it. The rooms are apartment-style with balconies. The hotel is on a lake, and on the other side of the lake is the beach, which makes it really nice for sunset. It was a little bit more expensive, but it was really nice.
Every Wednesday night they hold Ping Yang Shabu night with unlimited Thai whiskey! Highly recommend!

Andamantra
@TheTravelTaurus
This was the first place we stayed at. The food was really good, and it has amazing views for sunset, especially from the restaurant. It's pretty inexpensive at $35/night. We had a sea view room, so we got to see the sunset and the sunrise.
They also have a $13 Floating breakfast or lunch! I highly recommend it! Check my link for a video!

Nightlife
Bangla Walking Street
@TheTravelTaurus
You can compare this place to 6th St. in Austin. This is where all the clubs and restaurants are. It's the busy "happening" place to be for adults. It's right by Patong Beach, which is the most popular area in Phuket. You could go here during the day, but the clubs are all open at night.
When I was here, it was during Covid, so it was generally uncrowded, but usually, this is the busy and happening place to be.

The Wave Beach Bar & Surfing
@TheTravelTaurus
This spot is located on Bang Tao Beach. It's very cute and trendy. It's right on the beach, there are cute sofas. You could probably go during the day. We went in the evening. It's definitely a bar, we just got drinks, but I think they also serve food there. It was a little pricy, but really cute, and I do recommend it. The service was nice too.

Located on Boat Avenue, this spot had good, and inexpensive tacos. I don't remember exactly how much they were, but they were good.

Things to do
Bang Tao Beach
@TheTravelTaurus
This beach is in the same area where Cassia is. It's a really nice beach with a lot of restaurants and bars on the beach. If you want to have a lawn chair and have a drink and some food, this is a great beach to be at.
It's located on the west side of the island, so the sunset is really nice from here. I definitely recommend it.

Patong Beach
@TheTravelTaurus
This is a nice beach, but there are no restaurants and bars on the beach. You will find ladies giving out massages here though.

5 Star Massage & Beauty Salon
@TheTravelTaurus
We had a little spa day here. You can get a pedicure for $7. It was really nice.
This place was a little bit more expensive than other places but they also had a larger menu of services, and they had a bar outside.
