The Ultimate 10-Day Itinerary to Montenegro
✈️ How to get there?
From Amsterdam, but probably the easiest from anywhere is to fly to Dubrovnik airport. Here, you can rent a car at Car del Mar. We've got a brand new Renault Clio, and it was perfect. In no time, we were in the car on our way to Montenegro. You have to go through the border patrol.
! Note: During the high season, this could take a while, so make sure you have some water and snacks.
🗺️ Route
We've traveled along the coast from top to bottom. If you want to extend your trip, you can also include the Northern part of Montenegro, for example, by adding one stop near the Durmitor Park, which is a beautiful area for hiking.
☀️Weather
In summer, the temperatures are comparable to those in Europe and neighboring countries like Greece and Croatia. In July, we've enjoyed temperatures between 25-30 degrees throughout the week. Near Virpazar, the temperatures are a lot cooler, ranging from 20-25 degrees Celsius. However, in the evening, temperatures drop significantly, so it's advisable to bring a thin sweater or something warm when you go out for dinner.
