The Best Brazilian Buffets of Sao Paolo 🥩🍣🍕🤤
São Paulo is renowned for its diverse cuisine, with a wide range of traditional and international restaurants 🇧🇷
I have to admit I was never much of a buffet person aside from Las Vegas buffets / hotel buffets. Other run-of-the-mill weigh your food buffets were usually average quality or very unhealthy, all the good stuff would be taken early, and overall just not impressive.
After spending my first Brazilian month in Sao Paolo, I understood the culture of popping in to your local comida-por-kilo for a healthy, quick, and well-priced lunch full of fresh fruit, salads, and even included a churrascaria in some of the fancier establishments! 🤯
Comida por kilo (or "food by the kilo") is a popular dining concept in Brazil where customers pay for their food by its weight rather than ordering individual portions. 𐄷 Customers serve themselves from a variety of hot and cold dishes, which are often displayed on a buffet, and the final bill is calculated based on the weight of the food on their plate. This type of dining is common in Brazil and is seen as an affordable and convenient way to enjoy a variety of dishes in a casual setting. 🍽 Most plates come out to anywhere from $7-$15 USD for a plate of amazing food. I would always get the fresh mangos, arugula, cherry tomatos, noodles, feijoada, chicken hearts, and a savory piece of meat to top it off (minus the bone ofc to save the weight ^.^) 🥗🥭🥩
