Day 1 : Discovering Tea Plantations and Nature

Morning: Start your day early to witness the breathtaking sunrise at Top Station or Pothamedu View Point. The views of the surrounding hills and valleys bathed in morning light are truly spectacular.

Breakfast: Enjoy a traditional South Indian breakfast at a local eatery or your accommodation.

Mid-morning: Visit the Tea Museum operated by Tata Tea. Learn about the history of tea cultivation in Munnar, see antique tea-processing equipment, and take a guided tour of the museum

Late Morning: Explore the lush tea plantations of Munnar. You can either take a guided tour or simply wander through the plantations on your own. Don't forget to capture some memorable photos amidst the rolling hills covered in tea bushes

Lunch: Head to a local restaurant or roadside eatery to savor some authentic Kerala cuisine. Try dishes like appam with vegetable stew, fish curry, or puttu with kadala curry.

Afternoon: Visit the Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Take a guided safari or hike through the park's trails to spot wildlife, including various species of birds and butterflies. The park is also famous for its blooming Neelakurinji flowers, which bloom once every twelve years (check if it's the blooming season)

Afternoon: Explore the aromatic world of spices at a spice plantation in Munnar. Take a guided tour of the plantation to learn about various spices like cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and cloves. You can also purchase fresh spices and other herbal products from the plantation.

Late Afternoon: Head back to Munnar town and spend some leisure time exploring the quaint streets and local cafes. You can relax with a cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee while enjoying the pleasant weather.

Evening: If time permits, catch a cultural show or Kathakali performance in Munnar. These traditional performances showcase Kerala's rich cultural heritage through vibrant dance, music, and storytelling.
