Tea, coffee & cocktails

Onibus Coffee Nakameguro
@julia
There's no shortage of incredible coffee in Tokyo, but Onibus is something special. It's a charming café is a must-visit spot when shopping around Nakameguro and Daikanyama. There's minimal indoor seating, so be mindful in rainy weather.

Restaurants & cafés

Yakumo Saryō
@julia
Reservation required for a Japanese breakfast and tea service. Yakumo Saryo offers an only-in-Japan dining experience, though it is a bit off the beaten path in a residential neighborhood. Don't forget to visit the bathroom to have a moment to appreciate how the hand towels are arranged.

Nezu Kamachiku
@julia
Like many good places, a bit of a journey is required. Nestled in Yanaka (a charming neighborhood to explore), this udon restaurant is at the top of its craft. Line up among the locals a few minutes before lunch to get a table during the first seating.

Harajuku Gyoza Lou
@julia
Because of its central location, no need for reservations, and its insane gyoza, this is a place I usually visit multiple times within a trip. The gyoza are a must, but don't sleep on the side dishes.
