* the beatiful and historic courthouse (it is free to tour, has amazing "Santa Barbara" architecture, a room with beautiful murals and a beautiful tower which you can take an elevator to the top of for a beautiful view of the city) and its only one block off State St. and takes about 45 minutes to look around.

*Stern's Wharf (where State St. meets the ocean) walk and see a beautiful view of Santa Barbara from the water and a couple of restuarants and shops;

*Butterfly beach is top notch for both people watching

*Shopping on State Street.
