Lower East Side: Restaurants that don't require reservations
Olivia Fleming
The Lower East Side, affectionally referred to as LES is a melting pot of NYC culture and communities, which gives way to an amazing food scene.
Don't have a reservation, no problem - this guide is for you! My guide includes all day cafes, bars with amazing food, and more true sit down restaurants spanning cuisines from greek, to californian/american, australian, mexican, and italian cusines. Great for budgets ranging from $-$$$.
Purchase of the guide includes an amazing interactive map that captures all these specifics and more!

Dudley's
@livvie
Dudley's is the LES' all day cafe. It is frequented by locals and tourists alike. It is the ideal spot to grab a few drinks, dinner, or catch up with friends.

La Contenta
@livvie
As a born and raised Californian I am always on the hunt for really good Mexican food and La Contenta is that. A twist on the original classics. This place is phenomenal. The Carnitas and Mezcal selection cannot be missed.

Bar Belly
@livvie
Oysters, Snacks, and Amazing Cocktails. What more could you want from a really vibey bar. This is a go-to watering hole and great spot to grab a drink pre-or post-dinner or to stay a little longer.

Souvlaki GR
@livvie
While they also take reservations here you're also able to walk in. If you're looking for somewhere to eat with 6+ of your friends without a reservation this is the spot. Everything here is delicious, you cannot go wrong when ordering. It also often gets a little wild with live music and even dancing as the night progresses.

Regina's Grocery
@livvie
Nothing says NYC more than an Italian deli and Regina's is so special because it has not succumbed to becoming too corporate. You will often see the family that owns Regina's hanging out in the restaurant, they'll offer specials for whatever they've cooked up that day, and the sandwiches are very generous portions.

Scarr's Pizza
@livvie
This is a true locals slice spot. They sell what they make and you get what is available. The guys who run the joint do not put up with any attitude so don't you dare complain about the line - I promise the pizza is worth it. Insider note, order a caeser salad, which they will make to order (it is absolutely phenomenal). Grab a slice or two, a drink, and sit on a stoop nearby or snag a spot in their parklet.

Kiki's
@livvie
This spot is right out of Greece and the food is rustic and phenomenal. Typically packed every night. If you can't be seated right away, put your name down and stop by one of the local watering holes (Bar Belly, 169 Bar, or Le Dive). Order family style, highlights include the Horiatiki and Lamb.

Cheeky Sandwiches
@livvie
While the outside of this establishment most certainly won't catch your eye, venture in for the most incredible ode to New Orleans. Serving Cafe du Monde coffee and breakfast sandwiches on biscuits this place fills a void if you're in need of some southern lovin.
