Lecce is truly one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. The entire old town is built in sandstone, creating this beautiful aged brightness on every street. Baroque architecture everywhere makes the whole place feel like a step back in time.

Planning your time
If you really want to you can see everything in Lecce in a day. But Lecce is one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, so I highly recommend staying a few days to get the most out of the restaurants and quiet corner!
Lecce has a train station, a rarity in Puglia. But that makes it a great base camp if you're trying to see the area without a car.
