Spooky October weekend in Salem 🤎🕯️

Jordan Benda
The perfect weekend getaway in Salem, MA, during spooky season 🤎🕯️🦇🍂 Salem is incredibly busy during the fall months, especially during October. Planning for a late September-early October visit is best-- if you can swing midweek, even better! I've curated the perfect 3-day itinerary for a weekend (or midweek) in Salem. Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I look forward to spooky season all year long. And what better place to get your witchy vibes on, than in the town where the most famous historical event surrounding witches occurred? The historical architecture of this town is so stunning-- wandering the streets will satisfy your every 'fall aesthetic' need. The nostalgia of Halloween is also found around every corner. I know you're going to love this trip!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jordan Benda
hi, I’m Jordan, and I’m so glad you’re here :) A little about me: I’m a young, 30-something millennial living in the Seattle, WA area with my husband and our cat, Iris. To say 'travel is my passion' would still be an understatement. For me, the travel-itch is real and constant; I’m almost always planning my next trip at any given moment. My Pinterest boards are overwhelmingly travel-based; fun-fact, my very first 'dream vacation' that I can recall ever having, was to go to Paris. I’m the most 'type-A' personality when it comes to planning my own trips— I just live for an aesthetically pleasing vacation, ok? To me, there is nothing worse than half-heartedly throwing together a trip, and then not loving the hotel vibe, or ending up at a lousy restaurant, because 'the one you heard about' happens to book out months in advance, and you didn’t know to get a reservation sooner. That's where I come in: I do endless research on multiple platforms, cross-referencing every last detail, to make sure our time + money is well spent on the best experiences (which doesn’t always mean $$$, either!) during our trips. My philosophy on traveling is: ‘sightsee a little, relax and enjoy the culture *a lot*.’ I purposefully schedule some free time here & there in my itineraries for flexibility: to do what feels best in the moment. Sometimes you’d rather just go with the flow of the day, without a set-in-stone plan. For me, I like to eat, drink, & take in the views/culture; so naturally, these are the things you will see prioritized in my itineraries. I'm all about food, drinks, fashion, aesthetics, and vibes. Note that you can follow the schedules I lay out exactly—or a little less so, if you’re feeling more active and ambitious on your own. The recommendations are there when you need them. I’m so delighted to share my own, personally curated travel itineraries with you! I guarantee you will love everything, from the vibes to the food to the drinks to the views… *daydreaming* I know you're going to love your trip. Can't wait to see your pics! xo, Jordan
