If you are visiting any European country and looking for a quick getaway to visit another country, I will highly recommend visiting Brussels, Belgium. Most of the touristic locations are a walking distance away from each other so it is easy and cheap to navigate. So, get to walking and enjoy your time in Brussels. The City of Brussels is the capital of Belgium in Western Europe. Brussels is bilingual French Dutch, and it is the most densely populated city of Belgium. It is also home to the European Union headquarters.

The Grand-Place square:

The Grand – Place Square at the heart of the city has shops and cafes inside for some delicious waffles and chocolate. Grand-Place in Brussels is a remarkably homogeneous body of public and private buildings, dating mainly from the late 17th century. The architecture provides a vivid illustration of the level of social and cultural life of the period in this important political and commercial center. This place is usually very crowded, so enjoy your time and take lots of pictures.

Manneken Pis:

Manneken Pis is a mere five minutes’ walk from Grand – Place Square so don’t forget to stop by. Manneken Pis is a landmark bronze fountain sculpture in central Brussels, Belgium, depicting a puer mingens; a naked little boy urinating into the fountain’s basin.

Waffle Factory:

After walking for a few hours, I figured you might be hungry, so it is time to eat. For the best Belgian waffles in the city, you can visit the waffle factory for some authentic and unique waffle choices. They have the original Belgian Waffle if that’s what you are looking for, but if you want to try something new (I mean you are Belgium) then go for some of the sweet waffle, savory waffle or a lunchWAF, there’s something for everyone so it’s up to you whether you are craving something sweet or savory at that time or both.

St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral, Brussels:

St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral, Brussels is a medieval Roman Catholic cathedral in central Brussels, Belgium. It is dedicated to Saint Michael and Saint Gudula, the patron saints of the City of Brussels, and is considered to be one of the finest examples of Brabantine Gothic architecture. The church’s construction began in the 11th century and had a Gothic architecture. It is also a walking distance from the locations noted above so visit the church, take some pictures, and also visit the gift shop if you can. Tourists are allowed to enter the cathedral for pictures if there is no mass going on.
