ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Joy Schreiber
Hi there! I'm the owner of Fish in Water, your no-BS, one-stop spot for everything you actually need to know about your trip to Turkey. I offer tailor-made itineraries, on-the-ground text support, free guides, phrasebooks, and more. Navigating a country that’s nothing like your own can be daunting, but that’s where I shine. I provide answers to those hard-to-ask questions, strip away the gloss, and ensure your trip is smooth, stress-free, and authentic. My resources are designed to help you experience the real Turkey, beyond the tourist facade. Why work with me? I'm a sociologist, language enthusiast, and world traveler, and in 2011 I planted my roots in Turkey. My move started with a promise to myself: learn the language, immerse myself in the culture by staying clear of expat communities, and give myself at least a decade. It was a success. After countless requests from friends for travel itineraries and advice from a foreign local's perspective, I decided it was time to turn my hobby into my job. So, here I am.
