Where to Stay
Renaissance Austin Hotel
@rockyandsarah
A great North Austin hotel when you are in the area. The rooms are very spacious and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. Sarah actually did a boudoir Photoshoot in one of the hotel suites here and it was gorgeous with a huge tub and an amazing bathroom with a perfect vanity for putting on makeup! It’s located in the arboretum, which is a shopping and dining area with things like Starbucks, Cheesecake Factory, Trader Joe’s, Barnes & Noble, Whole Foods, The Container Store, and so much more! It also has a huge secured parking garage for your car or rental vehicle. Several of our friends and family members have stayed here and loved it when they came to visit us in Austin!

Austin East KOA Holiday
@rockyandsarah
A very large, very clean, very nice KOA RV park in Austin! This is a great place to stay in your van, RV, or renting one of their cabins, if you are visiting the Austin area! Staff is always kind and helpful, spots are typically large and level, and the amenities are really nice, they even have a pool!

Four Seasons Hotel Austin
@rockyandsarah
An absolutely luxurious and beautiful hotel. While we haven’t stayed here overnight, we’ve attended events here, dined in their incredible restaurant several times, and we’ve had loved ones stay here when visiting and they highly recommended it. We’ve enjoyed every interaction we’ve had with this hotel and think you should treat yourself to a visit!

The Westin Austin at The Domain
@rockyandsarah
Another great North Austin Hotel but this one is located inside the Domain, a gorgeous and luxurious shopping, dining, and entertainment center featuring places like Tiffany’s, Louis Vuitton, MAC, Free People, Starbucks, a luxury movie theater, The Museum of Ice Cream, Anthropologie, multiple children’s play areas, a Whole Foods, LUSH, barbshops, salons, clothing tailors, a CHASE bank, and so much more!
The hotel is in the middle of the Domain so perfect for exploring that area of town. The hotel itself is extremely clean, has a lovely staff, and the rooms are very comfortable and modern.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store
@rockyandsarah
This may seem like a random or silly addition, but those of you that travel in a van or RV probably know about crackerdocking already- but just in case you haven’t heard of it; you can stay overnight (1 night) for free in the Cracker Barrel parking lot in their designated RV spots. They are first come first serve, you will be boondocking/dry camping, and it’s basically expected that you will make a purchase of some kind- but it is a relatively cheap (or almost free) option for 1 night, right outside of Austin city limits!

What to See & Ways to Play
The Hideout Theatre
@rockyandsarah
One of the places we used to perform and enjoy Improv! The Hideout is a very special place, an Austin staple in fact, run by some of the sweetest, funniest, and coolest folks in the ATX! They offer classes, shows, festivals, and even have a great little coffee shop downstairs! Check it out while you enjoy downtown Austin and catch a show, you WILL be entertained! Also perfect location if you happen to be staying at the Driskell Hotel!
