Introduction

This guide will include steps to help you unblock yourself

1. Hydration

2. Daily Diet

3. Restaurants

4. Exercise

Hydration

Simple, ensure you are drinking 3-4L of water everyday.

Because you are walking so much, and likely sweating a lot. Make sure you are always carrying at least 1 water bottle with you that is full, and get a new one at vending machines or a conbini.

Whenever you are on your way back to your hotel/airbnb make it a habit to stop by a grocery stores/conbini and buy the 2L bottles of water. As you are winding down for the night, just make sure you drink a couple of cups. (More if you know you drank almost no water throughout the day)

Daily Diet

1. Get your daily vegetable drink

Any conbini/grocery stores will have these vegetable drinks.

2. Yakimo (Japanese Sweet Potato)

Delicious, Easy to eat, high in fibre and you get protein. You can find these at some grocery stores, and street vendors.

3. Natto

Yes, this food smells and isn't everyone's favourite food. Give this a shot, you can go to a 7-Eleven and get a Natto Handroll. Desperate times calls for not-so desperate measures.

4. Okra/Lotus Root

Some super markets or bento box restaurants will have an okra dish served with a citrus salad dressing/light ponzu sauce. This is a delicious way to eat healthy food

5. Konjac

A gelatinous root vegetable, often used in noodles. Sometimes you can even replace noodles with Konjac

6. Salad

Whenever you are at a conbini or 7-Eleven. Grab a salad, not the iceberg salads, but grab the ones with broccoli and edamame. There are a lot of options for salad there, so just make it a daily thing to try a new salad.

7. Fruits

Japan is famous for their luxurious seasonal fruits. Not everything is super expensive though, you can go to your local supermarket and buy whatever fruit is seasonal and eat them. Chances are they are fresh, taste good, and delicious.

Exercise

With all that walking, you shouldn't really need any more exercise. I do recommend doing stretches to help relax your muscle and potentially help with constipation

(A). Supine Twist

1. Lying on your back, bring your legs to your chest. Then extend your left leg out

2. Draw your bent right leg to the left across your body, while keeping your shoulders flat on the floor

3. Look toward the right

4. Hold and then switch sides

(B). Matsyasana Twist

1. Begin in a seated position

2. Bend your left leg and place your left foot on the ground over your right knee

3. Bend your right knee and tuck your right foot near your butt

4. Place your right elbow near your left knee and twist your body, looking over your left shoulder

5. Hold, and then switch sides

(C). Child's Pose

1. Start by sitting on the floor with your knees spread to a bit more than hip-distance apart and your feet tucked under you, big toes touching.

2. Lean forward and place your hands in front of you, creeping forward until your forehead is touching the mat/floor

3. Hold while breathing deeply
