This castle with its Italian architecture is just beautiful! You definitely have to book a tour to see the inside and you have to check out the theater. They tried to keep everything the same way as it was.

This old monastery has a very beautiful architecture and is right next to a beautiful park. If you want to know more about that beautiful park I recommend checking out my list called "Best Parks".

The city center of Celle is truly a historical landmark! You just have to see the old buildings and their remarkable architecture! You can walk the streets of Celle for hours and they never get old but if you don't have time to explore every street make sure you see at least the old town hall, the church and Hoppener Haus. If you want to see everything without any people I recommend coming on a Sunday because on that day all the stores are closed.

4. Pfennigbrücke

This bridge takes you over the river Aller. I highly recommend coming for sunrise or sunset. Those misty mornings are just too beautiful! This bridge is a little bit narrow so it can get busy. If you wonder why the bridge is called Pfennigbrücke it is because back in the days you had to pay one Pfennig to use the bridge. Nowadays the bridge is free.

5. Neues Rathaus

This building is the new town hall of Celle. The old one is in the city center and also very beautiful but was just too small. In front of this massive building is also a little park so make sure to go there as well.

This nature preserve is not only the perfect hiking area without a lot of hills it is also the perfect place to see wildlife not only during dorn also during dust. It is definitely one of my favorite places to watch the sunrise and the sunset. One time I was able to see black deers during sunset. It was the most magical sunset of my whole life. I didn't even know that black deers existed but they do. Only weeks later I watched more deers still sleeping and eating their breakfast surrounded by fogg while the sun was rising. I cannot even describe the beauty of that moment. On another day I saw baby otters playing in the green grass. Also an unforgettable experience. It might be quite enjoyable for kids as well because there are cows and horses on the long reaching meadows. Wait! Did I already mentioned that there are tiny little rivers along the path? I highly recommend a visit no matter what season but during summer the tiny rivers might be a bit dryer and you should watch your step because one time I saw a snake enjoying the warm sun on the path. If you want to see beautiful autumn colors i recommend coming during November and if you want to be all by yourself I recommend coming on a weekday before lunchtime when everyone else walks their dog but even then you don't feel overwhelmed by all the people. So, if you then leave during lunchtime you can look at my list "Where to eat" down there. The first restaurant is right around the corner and has a super yummy menu which is perfect after a long hike and lots of exploring.
