Little Paint campground in Yellow River State Forest Camp right alongside a classic Iowa trout stream in this primitive campground. Yellow River State Forest offers something for everyone including equestrian trails, mountain biking, backpacking trails and campsites, stunning overlook points, and of course excellent trout fishing in three different streams. Fish right from camp on Little Paint Creek, Big Paint Creek or Yellow River. A short hike along any of these streams will allow you to find your own, private stretch of water with plenty of hatchery raised and stream reared fish including with more than a few reaching trophy size.
