What’s Barcelona like in April?

April is a great time to visit Barcelona. Keep in mind that this year Semana Santa (Easter Week) falls at the end of March so it will be the busiest week that week to start the year with maybe some holiday goers staying around afterwards. Apart for that, there are plenty of activities going on throughout the month and some of the best festivals (atleast my favorite) during the entire year! Visiting in April, is a visit just before high season begins; so it’s a great time to be in Barcelona!

What’s the weather like in April?

Check the weather before you come, but April tends to be the month where we start to see warmer temperatures in the city. Plan on being outside, enjoying the sun, but make sure to bring some layers for the evenings and nights. Sweaters, sweatshirts, and lighter jackets should be enough to be comfortable. The daily average temperature is around 66 Fahrenheit (19 Celsius), with lows at 55 Fahrenheit (13 Celsius). Those temperatures will fluctuate and it might be even warmer during the days. Especially towards the end of the month. You’ll need to plan for fluctuating weather, but on the whole it’s a very pleasant time in the city.
