No matter the season Hakone is a great 2 to 3 days escape from Tokyo to relax, in the spring you can admire cherry blossoms, in the summer the hydrangea blooming. The fall colors are flamboyant and in the summer discover the snow all around and as always on clear days the view of Mont Fuji.

✨ indicates places I stayed at in the past

✨ Hakone Yutowa
@annalopezratouis
Perfect for familly with children as well as couple, I personally stayed at Hakone Yutowa and trully never wanted to leave. The service is impeccable. Diner and breakfast are delicious Japanese style buffet, they are free snack available during the day, separate male and female onsen as well as private onsen and relaxing areas to lounge in your Yukata.

✨ Aura Tachibana

Beautiful hotel located in Hakone Yumoto, the bottom part of Hakone, this hotel is ideal for couple who would like to relax, you can choose to reserve a spot at the private onsen on the rooftop or use the public onsen (separate male and female). The diner serve is a fantastic "kaiseki-ryori" a Japanese traditional and season meal. Beds are extremely conformable, I recommend choosing the traditional room.

Forest Adventure Hakone
@annalopezratouis
How fun is it to do a tree climbing forest adventure in Japan ? Very fun, this is one of the best tree climbing adventure I did. I highly recommend you to bring or buy gloves (they have them on site). Staff is very friendly and language was not a barrier for this activity. If you are a beginner, I recommend the easier course.

Owakudani, Hakone
@annalopezratouis
Owakudani is a volcanic valley in Hakone known for its sulfurous fumes, hot springs, and striking views of Mount Fuji. Make sure you try "kuro-tamago," black-shelled eggs cooked in the valley's hot springs, which are said to extend one's life by seven year
