Quiet, safe, and walkable, Gràcia boasts a unique identity within the city of Barcelona, blending a youthful and laid-back atmosphere with traditional Catalan culture. Discover the neighborhood’s delightful corners and immerse yourself in Gracia’s rich array of vegan eateries with my suggested itinerary and recommended rest stops.

Once an independent village outside Barcelona’s walls in the 17th century, it later integrated into the city in the 19th century due to urban expansion, specifically the Cerdà Plan. Hence, the architecture appears less medieval and more Mediterranean in style compared with neighborhoods like El Gòtic or El Born.

As you explore, you’ll find yourself in an idyllic setting for a leisurely walk, where the traditional village atmosphere perfectly complements the delicious vegan fare.

🚶🏻‍♀️ Suggested route

This is just a suggested walking route with some iconic landmarks and lesser-known spots. I also recommend several food stops along the way, but they are entirely optional (below is the complete list categorized accordingly). Take your time. Enjoy Barcelona without any rush at all.
