Accommodation
Including Place des Vosges on this map so that you can easily see where my recommendations are relative to where you're staying.
Place des Vosges
@hilaryinparis
The oldest planned square in Paris, known for its beautiful architecture.
A serene, enclosed outdoor space surrounded by beautiful buildings. Enjoy a picnic, window shop, or have an (expensive) hot chocolate at La Carette. Place des Vosges is also where you'll find Victor Hugo's apartment (free access, closed on Mondays).

Exhibits
A wonderful, immersive audio-visual exhibit that is quite captivating. It takes about 45 min to 1 hour for the whole exhibit to play through, so it's relatively quick. This is great as I know attention spans aren't long for kiddos! Of course, if you enjoy it, you can stay longer and watch the exhibit more than once as it plays on a loop. I do strongly recommend getting tickets in advance as the time slots can sell out day-of (and especially on weekends).
L'Atelier des Lumières
@hilaryinparis
France excels at immersive audiovisual exhibits, and this experience is a perfect example. You need to buy a timed ticket (purchase in advance!) and expect to stay around 45 minutes to 1 hour.
