11 Day Trip to Thailand
My mom and I traveled to Thailand for 11 days to celebrate my college graduation. I have created a travel itenerary/guide that you will definitely will want to use if it is your first time to Thailand. Happy Planning!
FLIGHTS/TRAVEL…
International Flights to Thailand:
I would first look at Google Flights or Going for flights from the US to Thailand. There are no direct flights from the US, so I would recommend looking at flying out of LAX for best options. Definitely plan for one 12 hour flight and then another shorter flight of about 3-5 hours. You will loose a day when you cross the international date line. When you return home, you could have close to a 28 - 30 hour day, so it is important to calculate the flight travel time in your travel dates. I would try to fly in the morning of your arrival day and leave early like 12 - 1 am on your departure day,
Domestic Flights within Thailand:
Flights within Thailand are ridiculously cheap, like $25. The one thing to be aware of is the luggage charges on domestic flights. I would double check your luggage weight so you are not charged extra on top of what they charge for one checked bag. We tried to carry our heaviest items in our carry on duffles to avoid extra charges. We also planned to do most of our shopping in Bangkok at the end, so we were not lugging our purchases around the country,
