Experience swimming, boating, and other water adventures on the beautiful Pelican Lake! There are several public beaches to access the clean, clear water. Or you can rent a boat, kayak, or paddle board to explore the natural beauty. Bring lots of sunscreen, bug repellent, and clothes for rain or shine. Hi, I’m Emily. I have been an avid female solo traveler most of my adult life. I have traveled to over 27 countries, on four continents, as well as lived in three countries, and tried to learn two other languages. I studied in Chile for a semester in college. I lived in Ecuador for a year, learning Spanish and teaching English. More recently, I was living and teaching in Sweden, and also trying to learn Swedish.
I love to explore places off the beaten path, creating my own itineraries, and making connections with the locals. I currently live in Saint Paul, Minnesota. I am a true Minnesotan at heart and enjoy being a local tourist in my home state. I am a travel agent, teacher, dog-walker, and notary public!
