Ferris Bueller's Guide to Chicago

Ferris Bueller's Guide to Chicago

The first time I went to Chicago, I made it my mission to do ~almost~ all the things that Ferris, Cameron, and Sloane do around town on their day off. Here are all the places you'd need to hit in order to do it too. Happy travels!

1. Willis Tower (previously known as Sears Tower)

Unlike in the movie, they now have a thing where you can walk out onto GLASS with only the city beneath you. Listen, I'm something of a thrill seeker, and not afraid of heights, but it was freeeaky!

I think the part of the film where Ferris so casually proposes to Sloane is hilarious :p

4. Wrigley Field

Wrigley Field
@linietoria
One of my favorite stadiums in baseball, and one of the only ones that I might actually think the vibes are best for a day game.

6. Von Steuben Day Parade

Unfortunately we can't guarantee a parade will be happening on your Chicago day off, however I would recommend looking into any other fun activities or festivals may be occuring. Chicago is full of great events!

7. Glencoe Beach

Glencoe Beach
@linietoria
If you fancy heading out of Chicago, this is the spot where Ferris and Sloane try to wake Cameron from his catatonic state...before they decide to take a dip in a stranger's hot tub lol
