3 nights in Canggu 

There are so many incredible places to explore in Bali - it's easy to get overwhelmed and over-scheduled. When you land at Denpasar airport, you will likely be excited and a little bit jet-lagged.  Staying in the area of the eastern beaches is a great idea, as it is not a HUGE mission to get there from the airport and get your Bali trip started! 

You have no shortage of lodging options in Bali - from traditional hotels, to villas, or home stays...its easy to fall down a rabbit hole looking for options. Here are a few great options

I stayed at the Townhouse Villa, By LVB for 3 nights. It is across the street from Finns Beach Club and just down the street from Atlas Beach Club. Located on a quiet side street, this is the perfect spot for solo travelers or couples. The management company is fantastic and can make everything happen  - seriously - from groceries to massages, to transportation.

These are all highly recommended by locals.

If you are arriving in Bali - give yourself a bit of a "down" day to adjust and get settled - you will want to hit the ground running, but you might pay for it later!  Hydrate, maybe spend some time on the beach or in the pool, and treat yourself to a spa treatment.

This may seem daunting, but the experience is well worth it.  You will be picked up between 2 and 3 am - yes, I know - and you will travel about an hour and a half to Batur, where you will meet up with your guide. You will make your way up to the summit with headlamps and walking sticks. You are arriving just in time for the breathtaking sunrise. You will enjoy coffee or tea and breakfast before heading back down the volcano. Take a dip in the hot springs! It will feel AMAZING after all that effort!
