Ecco cosa vedere in tre giorni a Londra, dove soggiornare e quali ristoranti o attrazioni non bisogna perdersi quando si organizza un viaggio nella capitale inglese.

Here is what to see in three days in London, where to stay and which restaurants or attractions you should not miss when planning a trip to the English capital.

The Millenium Gloucester Hotel are one of the best hotels in Kensington. It is located less than a minute's walk from the 'Gloucester Road' underground station

Both the Piccadilly and District/Circle lines stop at the station, with which you will be in the city centre in less than 20 minutes.

London is served by five airports scattered around the city. 

Heathrow Airport is the most well connected of all. In fact, all you have to do is exit your arrival terminal and take the Piccadilly line to your destination.

To get to the city from Gatwick Airport, on the other hand, you have to take a train, then change lines and travel by underground. From Victoria train station, however, there is a 'Gatwick Express' service that takes you to the entrance of the airport's South Terminal in less than an hour.

London is one of the richest cities in terms of points of interest and things to see.

The first item on my personal list of places that when I go to London cannot be missed is Covent Garden. The city's indoor market where you will find plenty of restaurants and shops to visit. In the evenings the place will come to life even more thanks to the street artists performing their art. 

Moving a few underground stops away, we arrive at Leicester Square where the Lego Store and M&M Store are located. As well as being a great pedestrian area, where on the very days I was in town they held the UK premiere of John Wick 4 and the DC cinematic film Shazam.

Actually, within walking distance from here you can enter the ChinaTown district where you will find many typical Chinese and oriental specialities, as well as be charmed by the beautiful atmosphere that the Chinese lanterns and all the decorations create along the streets of this district.

To complete this part of the city, a visit to Piccadilly Circus is a must.

If you go to the city centre by metro, you have to take the yellow/green line, (district/circle line). If you get off at the Westminster stop, as you exit the station you will find yourself directly under Big Ben.

If you then proceed to your left, another of the attractions the city has to offer will appear in front of you. The London Eye. The ticket to ride the Ferris wheel is £34, but you can do the combo by buying tickets for the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum as well. 

Arriving instead at Tower Hill station you will be in the presence of the city's most famous drawbridge over the Thames. The Tower Bridge.

Also nearby is the Tower of London, a medieval fortress that can be visited for £29. If you like museums and history, you can't miss it.

If, on the other hand, you love panoramic views and are not afraid of heights, a great place to admire the city from above is The Shard. The entrance fee is around £30 and will allow you to go up to the 72nd floor of the city's tallest building

If you don't want to spend money, but still want to admire the city from above, an alternative is the Sky Garden. Access is completely free, but seats are super limited, so we recommend you book your turn well in advance.

One place you can never miss when visiting London is surely Buckingham Palace, where the changing of the guard takes place at 11 o'clock in the morning

 Borough market is the oldest and most famous in London. While the CamdenTown market is famous for its multiculturalism 

WARNING: Camden Town is famous for not being one of the most recommendable district. We recommend visiting it only in the morning.

If you are a fan of the Harry Potter films, this town is for you. You can book online a tour of the Harry Potter Studios where the films were actually filmed. WARNING: you must book your tour well in advance

If, on the other hand, you are a fan of Queen and Freddie Mercury, you cannot miss a visit to Garden Lodge, the last residence of the English singer, located in Kensington

Whatever your taste in food, you definitely cannot miss the iconic British fish and chips. The fried cod fillet with potatoes on the side.

If, on the other hand, you like hamburgers, you cannot miss that smash at Shake Shake or the burgers at the first Hard Rock Café in history, opened in 1971 in London.

Inside the Hard Rock shop there is also a Vault where inside there are clothes and musical instruments used by various artists that can be visited after having lunch at the restaurant

another place to try is definitely the Gordon Ramsay Street Burger at Covent Garden

A Londra ci sono cinque aeroporti sparsi per la città.

L'aeroporto di Heatrow è quello connesso meglio. Infatti tutto quello che devi fare sarà uscire dal terminal degli arrivi e prendere la linea Piccadilly fino alla tua destinazione.

Per raggiungere la città dall'aeroporto di Gatwick invece, dovrai prendere il treno e poi cambiare con la metropolitana. Dalla stazione dei treni di Victoria comunque troverai il servizio "Gatwick Express" che ti porterà direttamente all'ingresso del Terminal Sud in meno di un'ora.

Londra è una delle città più ricche di punti d'interesse e di cose da vedere.

Il primo punto sulla mia lista personale di posti da vedere quando vado a Londra, e che non posso saltare, è sicuramente Covent Garden. All'interno del mercato cittadino coperto troverai tantissimi ristoranti e negozi da visitare. Alla sera inoltre il luogo prenderà ancora più vita grazie a tutti gli artisti di strada che si esibiranno.

Spostandoci di un paio di fermate di metropolitana, raggiungiamo Leicester Square, dove troviamo il Lego Store e l'M&M Store. Proprio tra queste vie è situata anche una grande area pedonale, dove proprio nei giorni in cui sono stato in città si sono svolte le premiere UK dei film di John Wick 4 e del cinecomics DC Shazam.

Senza spostarci più di tanto ci troveremo poi all'ingresso del quartiere di ChinaTown dove si possono trovare tante specialità orientali e cinesi. Oltre che a rimanere incantati dalla bellissima atmosfera data dalle lanterne cinesi e dalle decorazioni che troviamo lungo le vie del quartiere.

Per completare questa parte della città possiamo poi andare a Piccadilly Circus.

Se vai in centro città con la metropolitana, dovrai prendere la linea giallo/verde, (district/circle line). Se scendi alla fermata di Westminster ed esci dalla stazione ti troverai subito al cospetto del Big Ben.

Se procedi verso la tua sinistra invece troverai un'altra attrazione che la città ha da offrirti. Il London Eye. Il biglietto per salirci costa £34, ma tu puoi fare la combo acquistando anche i biglietti per il museo delle cere Madame Tussauds.
