Despite the influx of tourists, the town still manages to retain its charm and allure, especially when visited during quieter hours re the broader region can offer a more comprehensive and authentic experience of Puglia's captivating beauty and rich cultural heritage. 

If you're planning to visit Alberobello, here are some essentials to keep in mind to make the most of your experience:

I TRULLI: Alberobello is renowned for its distinctive trulli houses, which are traditional limestone dwellings with conical roofs. These unique cottages are an essential part of the town's charm and history and there are over 1100 trulli in Alberobello alone

CROWDS: The town tends to get very busy, especially during peak tourist seasons. To avoid the crowds, consider visiting early in the morning or spending the night in a trullo, which can offer an intimate and authentic experience

SPECAL ACCOMODATION: Consider staying in a trullo during your visit. These UNIQUEl stone cottages have been converted into charming accommodations, providing a truly immersive experience in the local culture and architecture.

WALK: Explore the town and its surroundings through a popular walking tour. This can be an excellent way to learn about the history and significance of the trulli and to discover the hidden gems of Alberobello. RIONE AIA PICCOLA: For a more authentic and less commercialized experience, explore Rione Aia Piccola, a neighborhood known for its traditional trulli and a quieter atmosphere compared to the more touristy areas..This is my personal favourite are  with cheeky glimpses through  open doorways to the peaked rooftops  on the other side.  We may even have a little dsnce if my lovely friend is playing her guitar..my tours are always spontaneous, fun filled never boring ..

:Villa Comunale Belvedere: This location offers a stunning view of the Trulli from a tree-lined area. It provides a serene atmosphere with seating arrangements for visitors to relax and take in the scenery.

Belvedere Santa Lucia: Situated near Chiesa di Santa Lucia, this spot offers panoramic views of the Rione Monte area. It's advisable to visit in the morning to capture the beauty without being blinded by the sun. It's also a great spot to enjoy a breathtaking sunset.  

Bar Rione Monti: If you prefer enjoying a drink while taking in the views, Bar Rione Monti is a perfect spot. It offers a vantage point overlooking Rione Monti, ..maybe sip on a Spritz? or a cold Peroni? Even the water here tastes great..my fave is sparkling....

Casolare Panoramica: Keep an eye out for the "casolare panoramica" signs outside Trulli souvenir shops. Purchasing something from these shops grants you access to their building's top, providing an opportunity to enjoy a panoramic view of the town for free. These spots are scattered throughout the village.
