Travel 101: Packing list (with some eco tips)

Marta Cardoso
One of the most time consuming part of planning a trip, is thinking what should we pack. From choosing the clothes to take to remember to bring all your medication, electronics and more, there is always something that we end up forgetting to take with us. 🌿Since in my travels I always try to me as much sustainable as I can, some items that are mentioned, are some extras that can help you, in some ways, to achieve that as well.

Extra advices:

-Eletronics, documents and medication should always be on your carry on!

-Pack light, there’s no need to travel with your full wardrobe. Try to chose some pieces first that you want to take with you and you think that is in the quantity you will need, and then cut them in half, usually, that’s enough.

-It can help putting your clothes on some packing cubes or just rolling them into rolls to take less space.

-Put a airtag or similar in your bag, to always know where she is.

-See the weather that is going to be in your destination, and plan the outfits accordingly, just because your are in one season of the year, doesn´t mean it’s not going to be a different weather.

-Share the address of the places your staying with family/friends and the plans for your day.

-Take more than 1 bank card, and try to put them apart, in case you lose one.

-Separate your passport from your ID, in case on is lost or stolen, you still have some form of identification.

-If is a long flight, you can take with you some extra clothes for changing.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Marta Cardoso
Hello! I'm a girl in her 20's living in the middle of Portugal. I have traveled since a little kid, starting with my grandma on buses and now as a female solo traveler. I love all kinds of travel, from nature and adventuring to historic and cultural places. I try to keep my travels on a budget, so I can afford more experiences. I am truly passionate about sustainability and I am vegetarian, so I try that my travels have a little bit of less impact on the world and try to support local places and companies. I have always been the one that does the itineraries, that searches for the places as restaurants, and I enjoy doing that. So I am here to give you guides about the places I have traveled to and to help you with costumed itineraries and personalized recommendations :)
