For someone who has lived in Portugal for over 10 years I have the perfect guide to see all the tourist spots and get a local feel to Lisbon. I highly recommend renting a car but public transport runs well in the city.

All these attractions can be done in one day. You can start in Belem and make your way to Chiado by train or even by foot. I will also make some restaurant recommendations for the day.

Here are some tourist spots to visit in Lisbon!

This is a MUST in Lisbon! They make the traditional pasteis de belem that are known pastries in Lisbon. A tip when you get there, don't be afraid of the long line skip it and go right inside to be seated, it'll be much quicker!

If you're not in the mood for Portuguese food this is a GREAT Asian restaurant. Just a note that they do not take reservations so you have to show up early to get a table
