What to do in Alicante!

Even if you are not into beaches, this beach has a potential to change your mind. It is not always super busy and even has some water activities. It is just a 30 min tram ride form the center.

The view from the top is phenomenal! You can go on foot if you like hiking or you can also take a lift. It is a ninth century Arabic fort on Mount Benacantil. It is accessible and has cafes, shops etc and it is free to visit, but if you want to take a tour, then you will have to pre book.

Alicante’s famous promenade is a wonderful walk near the sea! It starts from the old town towards the city. There are beautiful terraces of the restaurants, ice creams, cafes etc. The coastal view with the sea breeze is definitely not to miss!

Basilica de Santa Maria is one of the oldest church which is situated in old town of Alicante is a must for gothic interior lovers!

Spanish mercados are always famous but the one here in Alicante has become a popular tourist place recently. It is a beautiful building where you can find all the fresh produces, veggies, fish, meat and they even have a vegan produce shop. It is great place with bars and you can enjoy local tapas too!

It is gorgeous Instagramable street which is in old part of Alicante. The steep stairways along with beautiful houses and the balconies are worth checking out!

This museum won the European Museum of the year award in 2004!. If you are interested in Alicante’s origins, this is the place with history of hunter gatherers and have beautiful pieces of ceramics and sculptures!
