I had an amazing trip to Ireland, and since Dublin is the most easy airport to enter to the Island, you definitely have to plan to spend a few days in the city :) You'll see, it's one of the cutest place you've ever been !

Dublin My Top 10 Activities and why

I went on a Solo Trip to Ireland last year, and I loved the country as well as the capitale. The people there are so welcoming, and I didn't expect to meet so many solo travelers ! The history of Ireland was a full mystery to me before I came here, and I fully recommend to do a free guided tour to discover all the secrets of the city :) So here are my recommendations :

I do believe, most of us will have to take the plane to fly to the Island, but it must be also possible by boat or ferry 

I guess it will depend on the weather. I did everything by foot except once or twice I took the bus from my Hostel to the center, but otherwise everything is really close. 

This Museum is so cool, you get a passport at the start and in each room you can stamp the passport! Its all interactive so you can touch the screens, get nice picture spots etc... I loved it

I didn't visit the inside of the castle, but we passed through it during my walking tour and I mean it's an emblematic place of the history of the city. Also, it was under restoration.

The famous Trinity College is where you will find the beautiful Library and the "Book of Kells". I had the surprise that they were emptying all the shelves to clean all the books and restore them for conservation, so if you also have the disappointing empty shelves picture, go to my Number 10 Activity

Ok this museum is rated as the best one in Dublin, and it's really funny. It's a guided visit, and the museum is actually a 3 stairs appartement of rooms filled with donations about the history of the city from locals ! The visit is like a theater performance and the guy will give you lots of fun facts :) Trust me it's a nice experience

After the Museum, we found ourselves near this parc. Let me tell you, I had never seen such green grass. It's crazy. I made a friend and we hung out for a little visit. I would even say it's a small "Central Park" if you've ever been to NY :)

The Cathedral is of course a landmark to pass by

The famous night life area! Temple Bar is the name of one bar, but also of the whole neighborhood, and I didn't know that so I'm letting you know haha. The fun thing about Dublin and I think maybe all Ireland, is that you will have live music every night in every bar. Meaning, you can change atmosphere at each bar and discover many local artists! I would definitely take my chances there if I was a singer and wanted to be discovered :)

This is a cute bridge in the city. I quite like the name 

This is the 2nd library I visited after I found the one from Trinity College empty :( It's smaller but the pictures can be quite similar and they also have portraits of European celebrities. Plus the staff was nice, and there is a garden at the end of the visit. 

Here are my recommendations of Accommodation :

if you are on a solo travel and would like to meet people !

1 - Book a free tour guide if you're going on a sunny weather, they have really nice locals which will show you around and tell you all the stories you didn't know about the city (and the country!) 

2 - Book a pub crawl to have fun on a night out if you want to meet other travelers :)

3 - Be open, everyone is so nice there! They can only be, seen as their town is so cute :)

Also, NEVER take the weather for granted. You should always have something in case it rains, trust me. I went in July and still had rain !
