New Belgium Brewing Company
@emilyreeves
New Belgium Brewing hosts a large lawn space, cornhole boards, local sodas, and for the really dedicated.. a slide. If you are interested in treating your kids to a trip down the big red slide, you will have to sign up for one of the brewery tours. There are 45 minute offerings (recommended for the shorter attention spans) available for reservation on a first come first serve basis, and 90 minute offerings at $20 a person that you can reserve online ahead of time.

Highland Brewing Company
@emilyreeves
Asheville's first craft brewery has a 40 acre campus. There is a large indoor taproom as well as a huge outdoor meadow that is open for kids to run around while adults can try brews from a long list of small batch offerings that are only around for a short time, or enjoy one of the year round staples. Also available onsite: Volleyball courts, Disc Golf course, and 1.5 miles of walking trails. Check online first to see if the volleyball and disc golf are for reservation only or free for the day you choose to go! Make sure you go to the brewery location on Old Charlotte Hwy. The downtown S&W food hall location is great as well, but if you're bringing the fam check out the original location.

Whistle Hop Brewing Company
@emilyreeves
Whistle Hop is a really unique spot you should be sure to hit. They have an entire array of activities to choose from, including mini golf, a take on bowling, and disc golf connect 4! Whistle Hop is located just down the road from Highland Brewing, so it would be a great one to hit if you're heading to that side of town, or in the afternoon after hiking Bearwallow Mountain in the morning (see my post "Easy Hikes Around Asheville" for more info on that hike)

New Origin Brewing Company
@emilyreeves
New Origin doesn't have a campus full of activities for those under 21, but what it does have are Non Alcoholic Slushies!!! Sometimes. I would check their instagram for info surrounding this, but I thought they were worth including on the list either way on the chance that they do have one ready for the kiddos or adults looking for something refreshing without the alcohol. This brewery just celebrated their one year anniversary, and makes some super delightful brews. Highly recommend checking them out!

Almost all breweries in Asheville depend on rotating local food trucks for means of food, but with all of these you are welcome to bring in outside food as well! Just make sure to clean up after yourselves and the breweries will thank you.
