The Best of Niagara and Toronto in 5 Days

For dinner shopping and bar hopping, check out Dundas Square.

For your 2nd day in Toronto, start your day at St. Lawrence Market. This market has a variety of Canada’s best foods and souvenirs.

To walk it off, head to Graffiti Alley to take in the beautiful art for free.

You cannot go to Toronto without taking a picture of the Toronto sign. You can do this at Nathan Phillips Square.

For dinner and drinks, check out the distillery Historic District.

Once full, walk it off on your way to check out the infamous CN Tower.

Want a picturesque view of the city? You can walk to Harbourfront or Polson Pier. Polson Pier definitely has the best view!

Arrive at Toronto International airport (YYZ) by 1pm, if possible. 

Once checked in, head to Kensington Market for lunch. This street has many multicultural options where you can curate your own taste of Toronto!

Book you transportation to Niagara Falls via Megabus.com. At $15/pp, with comfortable chairs and WiFi, this was the most cost efficient option for us. Plan to arrive in Niagara by 1pm. The journey via Mega Bus is 1.5hrs-2hrs.

Journey Behind the Falls

After exploring the falls, explore Clifton Hill filled with attractions, bars and restaurants. We recommend Niagara Distillery for food and drink tastings.

For your 2nd Day in Niagara, you will have to go ice wine tasting! We recommend the two wineries below as there are about 25min from the hotel and 2 miles from each other if you choose to visit both.

Once back at the hotel, take a walk to the Casino resort and explore the shops, games and casino.

For your last day, we recommend enjoying a buffet breakfast at Morton’s Grille restaurant. If staying at Marriott Fallsview Hotel and Spa, this is located in your hotel. The breakfast is delicious with a view of the falls! You could also order room service and enjoy the view from your room but as a Marriott member, the Buffett at the restaurant was free. Please check for perks at the front desk. We also recieved two free drinks from the bar.

When it is time for checkout, you can take a mega bus back to a Toronto and fly out of there or you can walk across rainbow bridge and take and Uber from the US side of Niagara to Buffalo airport. (International fees upwards of $50 apply and you will have to wait for a driver with a passport if you call a driver from the Canada side to take you to Buffalo.) There were quite a few drivers waiting at the Niagara Falls Park once we walked across Rainbow bridge to call from the US side so this was the best option for us. 

Take a ride share or booked car to your hotel. For this itinerary and due to the cost of parking, we figured a rental car is not necessary.

Once in Niagara, take ride share to your hotel. This was about a 10min ride from the stop to the hotel for us. We stayed at the beautiful Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa. There are two Marriott’s across the street from each other but only this one linked below has a view of the Falls. Please do not get them confused. Two other recommended options are Enbassy suites and Hilton Fallsview.

Once checked in, you will definitely want to get closer to the falls and check it out. There is the free option of just walking around but if you would like to get closer, you can take a boat via city experiences, zip line above it, or take the journey behind the falls and through the tunnels.
