Budget day trip to Cincy (from Lex)

Start the day by parking on the street near the toy mural & stop by to visit & get some fun photos! 

Walk from the toy mural to Scotti’s Italian (it’s right around the corner)

 *Pro tip: go at lunch because it gets very crowded at dinner and almost always requires reservations! If you get there around 12, you can almost always walk straight in!

Drive approx. 35 mins north to Monroe to the Cincinnati Premier Outlets and stop by the Lindt Chocolate Outlet & the Disney Outlet. Both have major discounts! 

Drive approx 30 mins to Hamilton, Ohio & park on the street for free and walk through all the local shops 

 Head back to Downtown and stop in at Urban Stead Cheese for a midday snack 

Drive back to Over-The-Rhine area to Pins Mechanical and play Duckpin Bowling for $6 each! SO fun and fast paced! Then visit their arcade/pinball machines. They have a really cool rooftop area to visit in the summer!

*Pro tip: the earlier you get there, the easier it is to get in faster! And the closer parking you will get! There’s a lot directly across that is $3 an hour if you can find a spot! We had no problem at 5:30 on a Friday, but it was packed when we came out an hour later 

Weather pending, you can take a quick walk to Taglio pizza right down the street for the best pizza you’ll ever eat!  We called ours in to go while we finished up a pinball game at Pins! 

*Pro tip: pick it up to go and drive 6 minutes to Eden park and have a picnic overlooking the river to eat your dinner! 

Head back to lex for Freshie’s Ice Cream!  My fav is the Rockin’ Crocs single scoop in a cone for $4! SO cute & yummy!

**When two of us went on this day trip, we spent a grand total of $28 each for the day (minus tips, our shopping purchases, & gas). Proof you can afford a day trip packed with fun if you’re up for it!**

Pro tip: Split a sampler board with 5 cheeses for $16! You can take a peek at cheeses aging through their windows!
