Piccino Coffee Bar & Bakery
@thatch
This is our favorite coffee shop in San Francisco. Get the ginger scone...or any scone really. If you sit and people watch here, you’ll get an excellent mix of eclectic and typical San Francisco tech.

Linea Caffe

Our favorite coffee shop in The Mission, SF. The coffee is great to-go and they sell neighbor bake house baked goods. You can also buy a bag of their beans - if its over 10 days old, they’re half priced! The rest of the menu is

This light and airy coffee shop has a focus on espresso drinks, but really their entire caffeinated menu is amazing. They also have a location in Santa Rosa. They also have quite a few vegan options and an absolutely excellent Mexican Mocha.

Broadsheet Coffee Roasters
@thatch
Cutest coffee shop in Cambridge! The coffee and food are both delicious. The shop has beautiful floor to ceiling windows, making it an ideal spot to grab a cup and get some work done in any weather - or people watch out onto the street. The coconut muesli is especially good.

Cat & Cloud Coffee

With 3 locations in the Santa Cruz area, you’ll never be far from a Cat & Cloud. It’s the perfect spot to grab a cup before heading out to walk the beach on a cloudy day. We highly recommend trying the scones.

If you find yourself in Senegal, check out Kota. This spot is located near the coast and has amazing coffee, juices, and food - especially brunch. It can get pretty busy (it’s popular for a reason), so go early and enjoy the friendly atmosphere created by all the regular patrons.

@thatch
With multiple locations in Chicago, and one in Milwaukee, this place has super cool branding and excellent coffee. Their breakfast burrito is delicious as well. This lakefront location is built into the historic Milwaukee River Flushing System building, which was built in 1888, so if you’re visiting the city, you can get your coffee with a side of history.

Stumptown Coffee Roasters
@thatch
With multiple locations around the US and one in Kyoto, Stumptown has made a name for itself mainly because of its famous cold brew now sold in grocery stores. The coffee shop was started in Portland though, and it’s worth visiting the store when you’re there. They’re especially known for their cold brew, but their regular drinks are worth trying too.

This little cafe in Marfa has delicious coffee and a quaint atmosphere reflective of the town. If you’re a flat white person, don’t sleep on ordering one here. Also, the fresh baked sourdough is a must.

Kodawari Coffee
@thatch
Kodawari is the Japanese word for “obsession” born from an artisan passion - you can definitely see the word reflected in everything this coffee shop does, especially the coffee. Generally pour over isn’t the thing to write home about when it comes to coffee shops, but at Kodawari it is. Also their oat milk lattes are incredible.

SACHI.LA
@thatch
This adorable cafe doubles as a plant shop and vintage boutique. The drinks are delicious (we highly recommend the dirty chai), and the atmosphere is great for a chat, or as a space to work. The staff is super friendly and they always seem like they’re having a really fun time at work.

Morning Brew
@thatch
Adorable local coffee shop with amazing food and coffee. Their food menu is pretty extensive, both for breakfast and lunch, and most menu items are on the lighter side so you’ll still feel up for going to the beach afterward. If you’re looking for a nice place to work, this is one of the only coffee shops in town that has lots of seating, though it still can get pretty busy.
