1.·Start your day at Buckingham Palace and witness the Changing of the Guard.
Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the British monarch in London and serves as both a working office and the principal residence of Queen Elizabeth II. It is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city and a symbol of the British monarchy.
The original structure, known as Buckingham House, was built in 1703 as a private residence for the Duke of Buckingham. It was later acquired by King George III in 1761 as a private residence for Queen Charlotte.
In the 19th century, under the reign of Queen Victoria, extensive renovations and expansions were carried out, transforming it into the Buckingham Palace we know today.
The Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place at Buckingham Palace and is a popular attraction for visitors. It usually occurs daily during the warmer months and every other day during the rest of the year.
