Bari Centrale Train Station

I find it calming to take the train to Bari. Yes, it's a long trip but also relaxing. I like to slow down sometimes.

Bari
@Diva
I like to stay near the old part of Bari. There are a couple of nice larger hotels. Since I usually travel with my groups, I tend to look for those sort of places to stay. But now there are also Air B/B's as well. Beware, the neighborhood with the no traffic streets are packed with people walking around at night and outdoor dining.

Markets

Inside the old city you will find so many small stands with fresh fruit and vegetables and small alimentari, shops with meats and cheeses and places to buy pasta and your basics.

The covered markets are in the newer residential areas. there are also the moving "weekly markets" which are a simple one day market which is in different areas on different days, they have more than just food.
