So, why Gros Islet? The Gros Islet/Rodney Bay area is the happening place to be! There is a shopping mall, supermarket, night life and various other shops, cafes and restaurants available (and within walking distance, depending on where you stay).

However, beware - the drive to Gros Islet from the large international airport, Hewanorra (UVF) is about 1.5 - 2 hours long depending on the traffic. The smaller, yet closer airport, Vigie/George F.L. Charles (SLU) is much closer but do not have as many flights (about 20 - 30 minutes from Gros Islet/Rodney Bay).

*Note: Bay Gardens Beach Resort and The Soco House are walkable locations.
