General Information:
If you love to ski and you are an avid skier I reccommend getting the ikon pass, regardless if you end up doing this trip or not. It allows you to ski all over the world at an insane price. I’ve used their pass 4 years now, and I there aren’t enough positive words. I live in Utah, so we have ample opportunity to ski and use the pass at home too :) (they have resorts all over the world too, so check and see if they cover your local destination too)
For the trip I definitely think it will still save you money, but it is NOT required.
Clothing:
Obviously pack warm, make sure you have waterproof gloves, coat, and ski pants to keep you warm, and make sure to get a helmet! Ski goggles are very helpful as well.
